Plumbing & Piping

Plumbing is the trade that does the most damage when it is done wrong, and the one homeowners are least able to check. A slow leak behind a finished wall can run for months before it shows.

We handle repairs and replacements, and we do the rough-in for our own renovation work — so the plumbing, the waterproofing and the tile are one continuous job rather than three people blaming each other.

Questions

Plumbing — common questions

How do I know if I have a hidden leak?

Watch for a water bill that climbs without explanation, a damp or musty smell, paint or drywall that bubbles or feels soft, or a stain that grows. Any of those is worth investigating immediately — water damage gets dramatically more expensive the longer it runs.

Should I repair or replace old pipes?

A single failure in otherwise sound pipework is usually worth a targeted repair. Repeated failures, or known problem materials such as older polybutylene or corroded galvanized steel, usually mean replacement is the better long-term spend. We will show you what we found and give you both numbers.

Do you handle the plumbing inside your own renovations?

Yes. That is a large part of why we cover plumbing at all — the rough-in has to be done before the walls close and the tile goes on, and having the same crew responsible for the waterproofing and the plumbing removes the most common source of blame and rework.
