Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 September 2026

This policy explains what Fix Right does with the personal information you send us through this website. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past — so it is shorter than most.

What we collect

Only what you type into one of our two forms:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number and email address
  • The address where the work is needed
  • The type of work, your description of it, and any budget or timing you choose to share

If you phone or text us instead, we hold whatever you tell us in that conversation, and any photographs you send.

What we do not collect

This is worth stating plainly, because most websites do all of it:

  • No cookies. This site sets none.
  • No analytics. We do not count or profile visitors.
  • No advertising trackers. None.
  • No third-party fonts or scripts. Nothing loads from another company's servers when you read a page.
  • No mailing list. Submitting a form does not sign you up for anything.

Why we collect it

To reply to you, to arrange a site visit, and to prepare a quote. That is the only reason. We do not use it for marketing, we do not profile you, and we never sell or rent it to anyone.

Who else sees it

When you submit a form, it is transmitted to and processed byWeb3Forms, a form-handling service, which emails it to us. Web3Forms acts as our service provider and processes the submission only to deliver it. Their servers are located outside Canada, in the United States and India, so your information may be transferred to and handled in those countries, where different privacy laws apply.

Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs — including IP addresses — for security and to keep the site online. Cloudflare also operates infrastructure outside Canada.

To keep automated spam out of our inbox, our forms are protected by hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.). When you send a form, hCaptcha receives your IP address and some information about your browser, purely to judge whether you are a person rather than a script. It is used for nothing else. hCaptcha is the privacy-focused alternative to Google's reCAPTCHA — it does not sell your data or use it for advertising.

We do not share your information with anyone else, except where we are legally required to.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after 12 months. If you become a customer, we keep the details needed for the job — including anything relevant to your warranty — for as long as the warranty runs, and longer only where tax or insurance rules require it.

Contact us at any time and we will delete your information sooner, unless we are required to keep it.

How we protect it

The site runs over HTTPS, so anything you submit is encrypted in transit. Access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it to quote and do the work.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete it
  • Explain how we have used it

Email hello@example.com or call (555) 555-0199. We will respond within 30 days, as Canadian privacy law requires.

Who is responsible

Placeholder — add the owner's name here. Privacy questions and requests should be directed to the business owner, who is accountable for how personal information is handled. Reach them at hello@example.com.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.

This policy describes a website that collects very little. If we ever add analytics, a captcha, an embedded map or video, or a mailing list, this page must be updated the same day — a policy that no longer matches what the site does is worse than no policy at all.
